Festival kicks off Wednesday, October 12th with a Screenwriting seminar and a pre-festival screening. Festival screenings begin on Thursday, October 13th and continue through Sunday, October 16th.

USTV America Online Film Festival

USTV America is planning an online film festival for student filmmakers.

They are calling for socially responsible short films (3 to 5 min. in length) that will highlight the current issues that confront America and threaten its constitutional democracy, as well as its economic well-being.

USTV America is a community sponsored internet television network powered by college and university student interns. But, they need the help of fellow student filmmakers to help guide this film festival to success.

Fleishman-Hillard, one of the world’s leading communications agencies, is seeking an energetic video intern to shoot and edit digital videos in their New York office. The full-time position offers hands-on experience in shooting and editing web and viral videos. It will also include editorial work for new business pitches and, possibly, full-up work. Working understanding of production (prep, on set, and post) is beneficial. Qualified candidates must have camera experience, be proficient in Final Cut Pro, and should have some understanding of working with and creating video graphics.

The “My Life” Documentary Project allows teens/college students to create a short documentary film that chronicles their life stories. Students will use hand held Flip cameras to create a cinema verite documentary about a year in their lives.

Hello Syracuse! My name is Lucy Lynne’ Hall. I am a local filmmaker interested in any film related business. I am also in affiliation with Guerrilla Film Co. working with Mike “DooWittle” Widger (the writer/director of ” The End of Syracuse NY”).

I’m responsible for the creation of “Pleasuring Grief” and more up and coming short films. I also have experience in music videos, wedding videos and other family friendly video productions. I have an associates degree in Telecommunications from Cayuga Community College in Auburn, NY.

I am currently residing in Ithaca NY and am interested in any production help whether it be cast or crew. So far I’ve acted as an extra mostly but am interested in expanding my horizons in this aspect of filmmaking. Please, feel free to contact me!
