Filmmaking is a collaborative art, for both independent and studio productions. This site was created to help connect local filmmakers with each other, and also to productions coming into the region. The film industry is growing in Central New York, and we want to help nourish it!


About Dave Pellenz (founder/ post-production)
Born and raised in Central New York. Studied film at Boston University. Started in television at Fox as a Promotions Producer. Won a New York State Emmy in 2002, and a New York State Broadcasters Association Award in 2006. Started working for PBS as an editor in 2006. Nominated for four Midwest Emmys in 2007. Currently editing shows and promos for PBS.

About Jeff Meyer
(events coordinator/ location scout/ grip)
Born and raised in Syracuse.  Graduated from SUNY Brockport and then from Bryant & Stratton.  Director/Programmer of the Brew & View 35mm Film Series and Shaun Luu Horror Fest.  Currently works as an IMAX projectionist, and a Local 9 Stagehand. Freelances as a Grip for Synergetic Productions and Time Warner Cable.  Also works as a
Stage Manager/Time Out Coordintor (TOC) for Time Warner Cable.  Does promotional work at horror conventions for Fullmoon Entertainment.  Worked as a Location Manager and Scout for Michael Coonce’s “Lonely Joe“, which was shot in the Syracuse area.  Worked at the Palace Theatre as a Projectionist/Theatre Assistant in 2005.
